JABU SUG INTRODUCES THE SRC FOR 23/24 SESSION

Towards the end of the first semester (2023/24 Session), the Student Representative Council (SRC) was constituted by the Student Union Government of Joseph Ayo Babalola University and approved by the Vice-Chancellor.

The council comprises student representatives from each department who are to represent the interests of the students.

Headed by Speaker Fajemila Busayo, the overall aim of the Student Representative Council shall be:

  1. To represent, safeguard, and advance the general interests and welfare of the students.
  2. To represent students’ interests to the management and staff.
  3. To facilitate engagement by all students, individually and collectively, in contributing to the oversight and development of the student experience.
  4. To support social and sporting activities organized by the Student Union Executives.
  5. To provide a platform for student participation in decision-making processes within the institution.
  6. To foster a sense of community and unity among the student body.

Already, the SRC has been working in the best interest of the students to create a more social and inclusive experience on campus as well as improving the general wellbeing of all students in JABU and we will continue to put the interests of the students first, above all.
